This is the normal professional grade for practicing physicists (view the candidate requirements). The discounted Member Full-Time Student rate is applicable for full-time postgraduate students.

Application Process:

Applications for membership* should ordinarily be accompanied by a diploma or academic transcript that documents the physics qualification. Alternatively, if you hold your current position by virtue of qualifications that clearly meet these requirements, e.g. a physics postdoctoral position or higher, then a link to your online profile at your university will be sufficient. 

If your degree is in a cognate discipline, please also upload information about the nature and duration of your professional experience in a role requiring a knowledge of physics (including teaching).

Applicants who select one of the "Member with cognate" options must also provide proof of their cognate society membership.

Copies of documents are kept temporarily until membership is confirmed.
