About the Nuclear and Particle Physics Group (NUPP)

The aim of NUPP is to serve the nuclear and particle physics community in Australia. This includes the promotion of these fields at all levels, from schools to government.

NUPP is usually involved in the planning of dedicated sessions at the AIP Congress as well as topical workshops and schools.

Through NUPP we have links a number of important international organisations, from the IUPAP Working Group on International Cooperation in Nuclear Physics (WG.9) to the Asian Nuclear Physics Association (ANPhA), the Division of Nuclear Physics in AAPPS.

As with any academic group, the activity is initiated by the members and we look forward to suggestions from, and discussion within, the community.

Who Can Join NUPP?

Any member of AIP can join, at no extra charge. It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up via AIP Member Online . Click on the  ‘Sign In’ button and log in with your membership info, then click on ‘Members Area’ and then click on ‘Topical Groups’. Please take the time to do this as it gives the AIP a gauge of how much interest there is in NUPP across Australia and beyond.
