AMSI Summer School

Now in its 24th year, AMSI Summer School is a four-week national training and networking event offering eight honours/masters level subjects taught by leading academics, a three-part special lecture series on Ergodicity of Markov processes by Dr Xi Geng (The University of Melbourne), a public lecture by Prof. Burkhard Polster (Monash University), participant talks, an industry-focused Careers Day on Thursday 22 January and social networking events.

  • Audience: honours and postgraduate students in the mathematical sciences and related disciplines, early career researchers and industry professionals looking to upskill

  • Discounted AMSI member fees: $600 for students / $815 for ECRs & professionals.
  • Summer school applications close 26 October
  • Travel grants: Students from AMSI Member Universities can apply for travel and accommodation grants to support in-person participation in Melbourne. Please make students aware of local funding/scholarships they can access to supplement AMSI support.
  • Research talks: Participants are invited to share their research by giving a short talk.
  • Mode of participation: In-person strongly encouraged for the full experience; online participation is available (note some elements may be limited).
